- If you want your footnotes to appear in a different font or size from the rest of the document, change the font or size for the Footnote Text style. The initial setting for footnote references is Default Character Format + Superscript.
- My Word automatically has size 12 text and size 12 footnotes. I want size 11 text and size 10 footnotes. I have tried editing the Normal.dotm file and editing the 'style' and clicking add to template. All I have managed to achieve is changing the default size for both text and footnotes. Whatever I try the two seem inseparable from each other.

Also, when I cut and paste from other documents, even if I am cutting a certain font, like Times New Roman, it still pastes as courier sometimes. How do I always make sure when cutting and pasting to a document the new text coming in will stay as the default I have set or at least stay as the type of font it was in the other doc.
Dreamboat, you better give me a satisfactory answer on this or else!
